** TABLET CLEARANCE JANUARY SALE: COMMENCES NOW!! **

I too was about to make a purchase, not overly keen now the price has been increased. If these were simply reduced to clear out stock, why extend the grabbing mitt of greed and increase the price? Thought your team were better than this.

Is first come / first served not OK any more? :(

Read the entire thread and you'll understand. Gibbo made a guess of what people would pay to get these units moving and clearly might have set the price a little too low so has now raised it. Basic economics really if there's demand you increase the price.

seems normal behaviour from ocuk of late, quite often finding prices inflated when following links from the forum to the shopping site.

was going to purchase one but you can buy a quad core ips 10.1 1280x800 tablet running newer android for £105.. brand new.
sorry wont post links. but you can find them if you search.

I found out that only 500mb is available for apps from Playstore etc, the rest is for pics/vids/music. You can't even move programs to the SD card if you buy one either, pretty rubbish TBH.

There is a firmware (if thats the right word - tablets are new to me) update which up's the limit to 1GB but no more, although I don't know where you'd get the update from.

The good news on the 3 I received: Zero dead pixels!

The bad news: One had a faulty charger socket and would not charge (though USB charging was possible). This one was great otherwise.

Sadly, another had a touch deadzone that means it's more or less unusable. 2cm wide going two thirds of the way up the left side of the screen.
The third has a slightly worrying backlight issue where its brighter on one side than the other (left to right in portrait mode). I thought the point of a refurb was that they are supposed to come back fixed! haha - Im sure OCUK will sort something out. Quality wise they look great and the one with the zero issues screen looks amazing.

Oh yeah, the other thing was it says multitouch 10, but I could only get 5 touch points working at a time. Don't know if there is some way to enable more touch points (since Id heard that you had to disable gestures on an HTC model to get 10 touch points instead of 5...) No clue really. I was looking forward to playing some pretend piano with all 10 fingers. :P

just got my 10.1 ultima...........I think it's dead I pressed factory reset as some german guys details and even store payment details were still on the tablet so for his sake i reset and now it wont turn on at all.

Put it on charge for at least half an hour, then try again. Maybe the battery was really low to begin with. You need to hold in the power on button for about 5 seconds to get it to start from completely off.

You plug power in and it flashes android for a bit, goes dark and shuts off. It's been on charge for over an hour usb then direct plug and it is totally dead. Before pressing factory reset it read 89% battery

What the heck I cant install facebook after updating the built in google apps as not enough memory. 500mb max for apps is bloomin ridiculous is this a tablet issue or merely an issue with the version of Android?

I think im sending mine back and the other two due to be shipped out tomorrow will be going back unless ocuk manage to cancel them first thing as they are in the warehouse queue.

It's still dead so I'll request a refund I think. Do they pick it up from you when you return dead goods? Like the internets biggest shop sent me a new headphones and a courier to collect the old ones too!
