Just bought this to replace my Faulty Hiper Type R 580W Modular PSU
i would just like to ask are these psu`s good when i went to order it the OCUK tech guy said its there most sold and best build quality psu * as in hardly none are returned faulty* he said the performance was awsome aswell so thats ++ aswell hehe...

i would like to know though if on par with the hiper TypeR 580 PSU`s i know they both have the same wattage but performance wize what one is better.

the only reason i bought this is becuse im sick of faulty Hipers
i have already RMA`d 1 and this is the 2nd RMA so i chosen to get a refund and get a higher priced one with better quality, also those Hiper Type R 580w psu`s Fans are bothed Sleeved with is a big no no as i understand ball bairing ones are better and last longer.

getting the 2nd Hiper TypeR RMA`d becuse of faulty fan on the back keeps going off and no and off and system crashing and system completely shutting down you name the problem and i got it lol
 
I've used Enermax PSU's in the past, probally still decent.

what I can tell you for sure is that I bought a Tagan 480W back around sept 2004 around the time there was a lot of faulty ones going about - mine is still working perfectly 18 months later.

I've just bought the same PSU you have - Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-009-TG) very quiet PSU working great. I dont have a clue about rails & all that technical garbage people go on about, all I can say is I woudnt of bought a 2nd Tagan if I didnt think they was any good, none of this made in China, Taiwan, Hongkong cheap slave labour workmanship - Made in Germany! lol :)
