Not sure if these threads are allowed.

Is anyone else having issues in the London (east) and Ilford area?

I always get 3+Mbps but here's what it's at:

You posted about it on the offical talktalk forums mate? There's a section where the support team browse and they'll help you solve the issue.

They've always been good when I used the forum.
 
Tallktalk have been doing major LLU work in the past few days so expect some 'burps' in service.

As above, monitor the Talktalk Members forums for more info.
 
Right.

Im 99% sure the problems not from talk talks side. Wired is fine, on wirless the speed will change a lot. Sometimes I'll download at 8kbps and sometimes as 460kbps.

Surely that can't be talk talk?
 
If its fine via cable then its not Talktalk, try changing the wireless channel, encryption type and updating your wireless card drivers - might improve things.
 
FWIW I'm on BT and normally get a whopping 3.3 meg which has been stable for the last month or so, tonight it's at around 1.87 for the first time in ages.
