How do you post router stats?

It's fair to say they aren't as good as o2. So i'll be ringing them tomorrow to cancel and going back with o2 for now. Then i'll probably switch to be*.
 
I'm on LLU Talk Talk



I can actually get nearly 18Mbps if I plug into master socket.

No problems as yet, support were helpful when it came to chaning my ADSL profile.

I have rung them and they have told me my slow speed is due to the fact they test my line for the first 14 days to see what speed it can handle. So I will see if it improves at all.
 
I'll wait til this supposed 2 weeks is up and if it doesn't improve i'll ask them to change my profile. Cheers for that link.
 
i have been with them a good 6 - 8 years. I have never had a problem with them, i mean sure when they started out there were connection problems but thats years ago. I have been on the same package since i started out with tiscali and i pay 15 a month for unlimited 100 GB.

On average i when i download a game thats 7gb im usually downloading it at 600 to 700 Kbps.

the only thing crap about them is when you actually have to phone customer services there all or mostly abroad, india, then again they have been from the start or well ever since i signed up. Though its not that bad better then a chinese woman calling you up at half the night trying to confirm ur address and saying when do you need the body armor shipped. Lol. Mad stuff man.
 
After just over a week I can confirm they are rubbish. Upload and download nowhere near what I got from o2. Plus I get disconnected from xbox live every 30 mins or so which is apparently quite a common problem with talktalk. I'm sacking them off and using sky:mad:
 
I can honestly say that talktalk are the worst company (by miles) that I have ever delt with in my life. Customer service is a complete joke and I wouldn't use them again even if it was free. bethere *** :)

I had the same thing. Having just moved from a area where i was getting 14mb to a area where i can get barely 5mb. Then some talk talk salesman gives me some stuff about them upgrading the exchange to fibre optics and i could see speeds up to 13mb. Me being like any normal person just wants a fast connection and agreed but when i got my welcome pack it was a more realistic 3.7mb. Even though it was cheaper than my bt service I was happy with the service as at least it was stable and the customer support i have had from bt has been great.

Trying to cancel my talk talk order was a pain in the ass. Around 20 minutes on the phone and asking the guy at least 20 times before he actually cancelled my order. The guy even lied through his teeth saying people on my street were getting 13mb yet on top ten street stats near enough all talk talk customers were getting 3-4mb.
 
Talk Talk actually took a contract out my mum didn't want, when she didn't pay they cancelled the contract, tried to bill her and screwed up her line for 10 days. Trading Standards been informed and they have had "thousands" of complaints along the same lines....dodgy dodgy dodgy business practices...
 
I have actually decided to stay with them. My speed isn't quite as fast(8MB down,0.8MB up but my ping has gone down since asking to go to fastpath. It's gone to around 15ms which is definitely noticeable when playing black ops.
