Talk to me about AIO watercooling

My machines a good few years old now, but she's still doing a bang up job thanks to being overclocked and having a GPU upgrade. Always wanted to have it watercooled but couldn't justify the money, since last time I checked it was a good £200 for the kit.

However yesterday I was having a browse and saw the AIO kits and I quite like the look of them, as well as the price.

At the moment I have a Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz (Bloomfield) clocked at 4Ghz, on a Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 motherboard. I have a pretty big damn heatsink on there for the job.

Could I get something decent for about £70 or am I wasting my money? Also do they do AIO's for GPU's? Would like to overclock my 970.

Im using an antec h1200 on an i7 5820k, chip runs a good bit cooler than it did under my old alpenfohn k2 heatsink. Paid £60.00 for it.

I'm cooling my i7 5930k with a Swiftech H240X. I went with this because of the rave reviews and amazing build quality. It can be expanded should you so wish but graphics card cooling and custom loops whilst very good does not appeal to me. Really couldn't be bothered with all that draining and faff every time I upgrade graphics.

One drawback with this cooler though is availability, had to order mine direct from Swiftech in America. Looks the biz though and keeps my processor at 26 - 28 Celsius when idle.

On top of the radiator. Due to the reservoir been underneath you can't really do push/pull, but it's never really hindered this at all. The helix fans that come with it are very good too. Never heard my pump so far (the graphics cards make sure of that lol) whisper quiet. You could get one fan on underneath but the temperature difference isn't worth the fuss.

The fans sit on top of the heatsink?

Also do I need to buy any extra mounts to fit on my motherboard?

A block sits on the cpu and two pipes come off it.

A radiator is on the other end of the pipes, you mount the radiator plus the fans in a fan spot on your case. If the radiator needs 1x120mm then that's easy but if it needs 2x120 or 3x120 then that's more case specific.

And no, everything you need is with the AIO kit.

I've fitted an Antec H600 to my 4670k and it's more than adequate about 20oc on idle and i've never seen real temp go over 50oc all for £45. It's a bargain if you ask me.

I've replaced the fan also as I'm not to keen on led fans plus it's blue and my case is mainly red and black so I replaced it with an EK Varder F4-120ER and whilst it makes a lot of noise at full chat it also shifts a lot of air, It's also much quieter at 1600rpm than the Akasa Viper 140mm that I brought by mistake.

Thanks for that, I've got a few days off in a weeks time, think I'll treat myself. :D

Can you get these AIO units for GPU cards?

Yes you can this is something that I'm looking to do soon.

I'm looking at using a Kraken X41 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/nzxt-kraken-x41-140mm-complete-water-cooling-hs-013-nx.html

With the G10 bracket https://www.overclockers.co.uk/nzxt-kraken-g10-gpu-cooling-adapter-black-hs-007-nx.html

You can use other coolers but I prefer this one as it was designed to go with the G10. You may also need to fit heatsinks on your ram chips ect so you may want to look up someone who has fitted it your card.

Here is a decent review if you need it. http://thermalbench.com/2015/03/16/nzxt-kraken-g10/
