So, after a bit of hunting around for a new TV cabinet to compliment my new flat I've pretty much settled on getting the 120cm wide Besta unit from Ikea.

It's got to go in a corner here which makes it a bit tricky, so I was wondering two things.

First (for the girlfriend), what doors can you put on it? I was wondering what white doors on an oak frame would look like  Otherwise I'll just go without doors.

Also, what are the dimensions of the shelves? The girlfriend hates the old Gale floor standers I have as they take up a lot of room (admittedly the corner the TV goes in, makes it difficult). Was curious if there's any way you could squeeze bookshelf speakers into the drawers to save a bit of room.

Anyway, looking at the pic linked above any other thoughts? Besta only has a depth of 40cm so that will actually be fine  Anyone have pics of their Bestas?

I should have mentioned that the sofa to the left has now gone upstairs so we have more room. Soundbars.. hmn. From briefly looking into them a while ago it seems the general consensus is that it is a step-down from stereo speakers. I really don't want to go down that route!

Also, I did find some oak Besta units on Ikea with white doors. Looks nice actually.
