Tax Transfer

The tax on my BMW runs out at the end of november, but the tax on my clio doesn run out till the end of february. Can I take the tax disc off my clio before I sell it and transfer it across to the BMW? It will hopefully save me some money (which I need to do at the moment as I got to sell the clio asap). They are both in the same tax band I believe. £190 for a year

the tax disc has the reg of the car it belongs to on it.
Get a refund on the Clio and spend the money on new tax for the BMW, one of the cars is going to be taken off the road anyway (SORN)
