yeah this is similar to our house. Often get down to the last few mugs in the cupboard that no one likes, and a big stack of used ones by the sink.We keep being bought them as gifts for some reason, so we have loads and the only time we use them all is when we're to lazy to wash up.

I just remember I also have this "mug", it came with my Hario Switch.
I've now bought a nice mug for coffee, so I have one for tea and one for coffee and just wash them every time. Next step would be to do the same for everyone else, then get rid of a bunch of them - keeping a few for guests or 'emergencies'
