Hey I have played golf on and off the last few years (in my 20s)
I studied sports science and done a lot off biomechanics study on golf. It for sure improved my technique. As well as psychology off putting.
I am without being big headed very good at putting and chipping. It is the norm for me to manage 30-50yd chips into hole (literally) or within very close distance to hole.
however, I cannot drive for xxxx.
I cannot use low clubs well. I am good with sand wedge, 9, pitch etc....but drivers etc..total useless in either direction or power....
If I want to get accuracy I get no power. If I smash it its wild but often I cant get long drives anyway or just lucky.
Anyway golf centers offer lessons but they are quite costly I think? Maybe 15-20 quid an hour or more? I cant recall.
Anyway when I play with my friends I easily stand out in putting and chipping so I have potential if I can improve my drive and fairway game.
But in my 20s am I too old to make any kind off living from it? And how does one start?
