Guys.

My boss has given me the go ahead to organise a day out for our team at work because we have done pretty good over the last few months. I need some inspiration on something to do for us. Some things to consider

* Team of around 8 people
* Varying degree of fitness
* Age range 24-45
* Ideally in the North West of England if poss
* Can be an overnight stop
* Doesnt have to be ultra competitive
* Budget of around £150.00-£200.00 a head

We usually do a lot of meals out and stuff like that so that will be a given at the end of the days events

Were going to a haunted castle next month and did Forumal Ford & Go kart racing before xmas

Suggestions and help appreciated (And Needed)

I think you want Team building games that encourage conversation what about an activity weekend. With say Kayaking, Absailing, caving etc.

Try a activity outdoor centre, not sure on bookings as its creeping up to the peak season.

or spin the bottle (guaranteed to team build)

Digger racing as in JCB's its around £150. doesn't matter how fit or girlie you are..

oh and can i have a job, meals, castles racing.. Blimey that must be the best job/team ever..

Tree climbing and areial resuce!

Theres a few tree companies starting to offer this its about 110 quid per person for a day. You get full supervision and all the equipment for that price. I climb trees everyday and the view you get is amazing and for team work you can't get anything better than trusting knots that someone else has tied or rescuing someone from the tree.

Its quite physical but you can have lines set at all different hights in the tree and theres loads of climbing gismos to make it easier on the less fit.

Paintball :D

It will uh... enhance your capability to work as a team and formulate effective tactics. Yeah, that works.

Do it, I went with people from my work a couple of weeks ago (wasn't a company thing, just people from work) and it was really good, had an excellent time.

no because that's lame and you don't actually get hurt :p so you can't show people your bruises

Does the original poster want a teamgame or pain?

Does he want to work as a team to achieve a common objective or run around a field shooting pink paint at each other?

Please explain why it's lame.

Yup. Painball for the win (went last Saturday with work, it was ace).

We're looking to book whitewater rafting soon as well, and go up to Dunkeld for it

I personally don't see much diference between airsoft and paintball, airsoft is better but for a group like this paintball would probably seem more appealing.

I was winding you up a bit but paintball does have a common goal, usually it's to capture the flag either from the middle of the field or from the enemy base, it does involve a lot of team work, when I went we worked in a team and totally owned the other team, at one point 3 of us teamed up and charged one person lol, the guy surrended pretty quickly with all those paint balls flying towards him :D
