Warning...this thread is for people interested in or have already whitened their teeth. Metros only. :o

Buuuut as topic...last thing i heard a few years back was related to crest (?) strips.

Whats the latest nowadays?

When I get my check up every three months I book a private hygienist after seeing my dentist and get a good cleaning, it's like getting pressure washed, my teeth are lovely and white now.

May i ask the cost? Guessing high from Moses' post but...may be safer/better for your teeth.

In the past I've used White Dental Beauty. This is something you do at home, putting a little gel from the syringes into trays (made by your dentist) that you wear over night. The strength and time can vary, but it works well.

When in Mexico my housemate had his done at our hot dentist there. She uses a gel then puts a laser on it. It's a rapid treatment and it does work but he was in agony for days with sensitivity.

Basically the quicker the treatment the stronger the gel and the likelihood of sensitivity.

Ah ha great thank you!

@4K8KW10 - Thanks also!

Wow, is that the price these days? Or is that your total price including the dental work? It was £250 when I had it done (whitening). Most of that cost was for the impressions.

Yeah mine is 375 but this includes the moulds/impressions and also the teeth whitening stuff itself.

The dentist didn't recommend the 'quick fix' solution of sitting in a chair for 90mins using the Philips Zoom. She was very disappointed and that was at her own surgery. :o
