I'm looking for some new trainers. Something around the £30-£40 mark, to be used just for casual wear and maybe the odd bit of football. I have other trainers for running in. I kinda like the look of the following:

Puma Suede

Adidas Beckenbauer

Give me some ideas guys! Oh, I don't like Converse, they look ghey, and no huge fat monsters, I'm not looking for 3 feet of padding on every side right now. ;)

Damnit, someone's been at the thread titles again, never happens in GH... ;)

I've never been a fan of white trainers but the Beckenbauers did catch my eye, although they cost a lot more than the Sambas. I'm open to suggestions...

Adidas Trimm Trab or Adidas Munchen.

Classic football casual attire. Munchen are similar to the Samba, but nicer in my opinion. I have some Trim Trabbs and some Stan Smiths.

/edit. Piece of nostalgia here. The Scouse slang term for trainers, 'trabs', comes from the 80's football casuals who used to travel all over Europe following Liverpool and buying trainers that were not available in the UK. The Trim Trabb's were the holy grail of trainers for casuals and soon became very popular in Liverpool. So popular in fact, David Wade-Smith set up a shop based on importing and selling Trimm Trabs. The Wade-Smith empire was born and at the height of his success he owned stores in the Trafford centre and Liverpool city centre selling all kinds of designer clothing. Wade-Smith's recently shut down in Liverpool but the slang of 'Boss trabs there mate, where did ya get them from' still lives on for any type of trainer :)

From those, the Beckenbauer ones.

I bought a pair of these Lacoste ones the other day while I was in Birmingham. They're very comfy.

Out of those get the Samba's but in black other than that check out jdsports.co.uk they have an absolute massive range of trainers, once you see what you like go to you're local store they have most of them in usually.
