Telewest have gone down the pan!

Havent really noticed my connection due to the holidays but the last few days have been terrible especially at this time of night.
supposed to be on "up to 4mb"

If they keep it up ill dump them and go to sky

Well the whole telewest machine seems to have gone **** up today, first of all i couldnt connect at all then reset everything and eventually back on line but really slow.

Did phone up 'tech support' as usual they were minimal help, but the phone queue and number of postcodes with 'issues' told their own story.

Not had many issues with my downstream speed, but my upstream frequently slows down to ~30kbps when it should be 256kbps. Browsing just becomes incredibly sluggish.

I did hear a rumour that its to do with some sort of work going on with the network.

Not very.

I'm on a 512/256 ADSL connection with Zen here.

Been hammering my Xbox recently and my hub NEVER shows activity over 4% when loading/joining games. Had no problems playing CS:S on the PC either.

It doesn't even light up the 1% indicator when in an actual game. That's on a 10Mbps hub too.

Seeing as everybody else is:
Here's the result of my parents 4Mb connection in Leicestershire. My 10Mb at home is maxed so can't do it right now. However, whilst this may seem a bit low for 4Mb, my father was using his computer at the time.
