Over there...
Company car is up for renewal in early April, and the list now includes BMW - i can order now for delivery.

The car i'm looking at is the 320d MSport. A colleague has mentioned lead times are horrific as a new model is coming out early next year, and so i may as well forget anout it in a timely fashion.

Is this true?

Also, there are the options:

ES, SE, M SPort, Sport Plus & Exclusive - what are the major differences (headlines only)?

yeah, that's my expectation too fox - hence they putting a block on the actual ordering of them maybe? Either way, i don't know if i'd mind an E90, if i get extra goodies for the fact its instantly outdated. Is the new one purportedly better in many areas?

Scrutinize - its a company car list, that and exciting don't mix!

There are 170PS Golf GTDs on there, a 170PS A3 Quattro Black Edition (Dont like either car though really)

My first choice at the moment (before the BMW was included) is a Volvo V60 R-Design Premium 215PS.

Hoping to drive some this weekend.

(EDIT: I should say we're limited to Audi, BMW, Ford, Mazda, Volkswagon & Volvo)

Sport plus is carried over to the new 3 Series line up no? Either way, as pointed out, it won't be the new one. Take the Golf if you can't wait for the 3

I would consider the V60 D5 (215ps) as the main contender here especially where it has pretty reasonable performance and will offer a great quality of ride and comfort.

That sounds like a good option. I test drove the D3 version and it felt a bit sluggish. Interior was nice apart from the horrible metallic blue dials, IMO.

I was in the same situation when the facelift W211s came out in 2007. As far as the lease company was concerned there was no difference so I ordered the new model and asked my firm to let me keep the old car a couple of months extra until it was delivered.

As they have ceased production of the E90 (correct, Fox?), surely anything new you spec up now will have to be an F30? Worth checking with your lease company and BMW dealer I would think. That's how it worked for me anyway, they wouldn't just give you an old model they had kicking about.

When is your list up for a refresh? If soon, it may be worth waiting for that if you can.
