A VXR8 and a Carlton

Yes well done for pointing out the some old Holdens look like the Omega, which is exactly what Princey said?

yes, well done again for stating the obvious. are you always this annoying?

I actually get a semi lob on when I hear the Bathurst edition whine.

How much are they now?

And are the superchargers cheap to just bolt onto a standard VXR8?

funnily enough i was behind one on the way home from work today. i actually turned my stereo off lol

Brakes are not anywhere near those prices

Oh yes they are. They are imported over here from a supplier in Australia.

The cars are made and sold in Australia remember, and only imported over here in small numbers by VX uk. They arent sold in continental europe by Opel and arent sold in the US. In the US its sold as a pontiac G8 with different parts.

Font Discs are £800 a pair from Monkfish, Front Pads £140 both parts only and thats 3rd party.

Rear are roughly the same.

Thats nearly £2k parts only.
Vauxhall charge £2700 for rear disks and pads and just front pads excluding front disks. Go read on the VXROnline forums.

If you get them from Vauxhall Front Discs and Pads were £3300 + vat
Rear Discs + Pads £2700 + vat

Crazy.

I had one for a bit, insane car, which I actually really liked, couldnt comment about costs apart from petrol which was no worse than the other cars I had at the time. Bit of a barge round corners but straight line speed was truely brutal

That is an utterly mind boggling amount of money for brakes!

Surely it works out far cheaper to bolt up a set of aftermarket brakes instead?

The aftermarket ones from monkfish are £940 inc vat per pair of pads + discs

Thats still £1900 parts only for a full set of brakes, easily over 2k with labour

The cost from Vaux with official parts from VX is more like 5k !

Love the noise, seriously nice soundtrack to them....especially with Wortec...

Walkinshaw must have found a cheap european supplier to save on the stupid import costs.
