Tempted to delete EVERYTHING

if there was no internet eh?............

well i'd have a decent collection of top shelf magazines for a start

adblock plus means i havent seen an internet add in ages :p

Didn't mean the internet ad's, merely the fact that the web is changing from being individuals running their own sites and small communities into large commercially driven sites. Less room for the little man and all that.

no tube strikes please :(:( harder and harder to leave this country

Even if computers don't affect me in a bad way I do wish sometimes that I could just delete everything, leave it, turn my phone off and live without it.

Main thing about it for me is that people expects everything to be available at all times, including being able to contact you.
Got some friends who get mad if I don't reply to their facebook mails within a day :/

Hmmm, I can understand the OP in some regards.

Does anyone else find that they are busy on the computer for hours, then take a break, have a quick wander in the garden and suddenly feel the warmth of the day, the smell of the flowers, the buzz of the bees and the OMG DAYLIGHT IS BRIGHT feeling?

I wouldn't be without computers or the internet - I met my missus over the net but they are a horrible timesink as well which can be difficult to pull away from.

As it's always changing there is always something new to see - even just this forum can be a nightmare for wasting time!

Quite ironic that I post my 1000th post in a thread about walking away from computers! :D

I'd either be outside making friends with the neighbourhood chavs, watching TV, or maybe even doing something educational like messing round with electronics and reading books.
The knowledge to be gained from the internet is great, but it's all the timewasting and silly little games which eat time, and mean I don't get on with more useful/important stuff.

I'd keep the internet, but make it much slower and more expensive to discourage people (or just me) from spending so long on it.

The older you get the less time you spend on the net after hours as you are on the internet all through the day :p
