Went to see Tenacious D at the Manchester Evening News Arena earlier this evening. The gig was enjoyable enough and the band seemed to be on form, however one thing spoiled the experience for me - there were absolutely no large screens showing the gig whatsoever.
Not a big issue you might think, however we were seated on the top tier towards the back of the arena and could hardly make anything out on stage. Therefore the lack of big screens showing the action really detracted from what was an otherwise enjoyable gig as we just couldn't make out exactly what was going on.
Has anyone else experienced this before? The last few arena gigs I've been to have all had the screens up and I think it's a poor showing that this one didn't, especially taking into account the £25 ticket cost. Do you think it would be worth mailing a complaint through to the M.E.N Arena at all?
