Tenacious D Gig - M.E.N. Arena

Lmao the support was damn funny not his jokes but the whole point of him made me LMAO, the ending was great picking up coins for 10 mins "you *****s have just trippled my wage tonite" lmao, imo if he did more british jokes jokes wuda got more of a response :p i was right at the back sitting unfortunately :-( they were free last minuit tickets to cudnt expect much.

I was in the seated part in front of the stage. (fair bit back)

Loved it when people pelted him with paper and coins :D
 
I went on Friday (was an early surprise christmas present for the girlfriend, which she loved). Really really great show.

Was about 4-5 people behind that link Tesla posted, pretty much right at the frotn of the stage, great tickets.

No big screens in the NEC, was no real need though with my place :)
 
Just got back from their gig at Hammersmith Apollo, it absolutely rocked my **** off!

I was amazed how well jack black's voice held up, kinda presumed the albums were really overproduced but he was damn good!
I really think EVERYONE should go and see this, its just about family fun sort of! The demographic of people there was really surprising, lots of teenage rockers, surprising amount of family, businessmen and even old people, yes old people!

Amazing show, will have to see them again next year i think!

I'm going to see them tonight and I have to haul ass back up to Oxford after its finished as I've got work the next morning!

Yea i thought the same thing about his voice, a very rare thing sounding as awesome live as you do on CD :cool:
 
I went to their brighton gig on sunday, it ROCKED!!!!

EDIT : As I understood that Hamburger was *supposed* to be awful. However, for alternative comedy, and considering it was a tenacious D concert, most people really have no sense of humour :confused:

I was there too, was a fantastic gig, The Hambuger comedian guy was awful but he got his just deserves, the D, well what can I say truly awesome. Loved the way they set the whole show as a story.

only one thing annoyed me, they didnt actually play Master Exploder, I mean it got played but KG and JB wern't actually playing, neither were the band so???

hehe yea that was funny, from a distance looked like KG was playing but then realised it was electric lol :p
