i never thought id be a fan of this kind of music. I used to hear nothing but this style on motocross videos. but having watched the film and bought the soundtrack and their album im hooked and im desperate for more of the same. Anyone have any suggestions? i know theyre more of a funny rock band with the lyrics etc. But i dont want anything too heavy.

You might like Foo Fighters, brand new, feeder, Incubus etc. if you don't want anything 'too heavy'.

Although before long you'll be listening to Pantera

before long... everyone listens to pantera...!

but you cant really do more than get the first album, maybe find some of the first album episodes online. i have a 15 minute (i think) show called "episode 4, the greatest song in the world" which is tribute but with a better story. lol.

He said he doesn't really want anything too heavy, so presumably he means more acoustic stuff rather than metal etc.

Pantera wouldn't really be considered pop/rock like Tenacious D would they

I know they're closer to Barry Manilow than Tenacious D but they're the sort of band you can listen to when your Gran is visiting...
