I currently have a Dunlop Revelation Lite which I've had for about 10 years and is 'okay' but I feel that its a bit too light (270gms) and doesn't feel 'solid' enough when you're trying to hit through the ball. It's a slightly longer than standar racquet at 27.5".

I've tried a Babolat PureDrive GT (300g) which I quite like.

However, they do a 'standard' version (27") which I've tried, and a 'plus' version (27.5"). From the specs, the balance of the racket and beam size is also slightly different in the longer version.

Should I go for the longer version? Is slightly head light better? I'm after something that give me control, consistency but also a good 'thunk' when I hit the ball.

Ta mulchy.

I think the general gist is more power with a longer raquet, but more control with a shorter one?

Haven't played in around 4 years though unfortunately so I could be very wrong.:p
