As a total newbie to Terraria I feel like I'm just grinding for metals. I seem to find more silver than iron. Is that normal, or am I Doing It Wrong?

Its random. You can find tons of gold before you find copper if you get 'lucky'.

We're gonna look into doing the Wall of Flesh and triggering Hard Mode around 5pm if anyone wants to come on then.

Interesting. If you use Pumps to make a waterfall it seems to gradually produce more water than its actually using... I imagine it does the same with lava.

Ah, fair enough. I'm getting a lot more silver than iron so I'll keep the iron for crafting stuff and use the silver for armour and weapons then.

It feels like Minecraft all over again, so many different items and no idea what I can do with them...!

Generally its better to create your weapons/tools out of gold and use silver or iron for armour. The main thing for armour is the set bonus and gold tools tend to be a major improvement over silver/iron.

Managed to 2man the three hardmode bosses, the twins as melee is really hard.

Yeah sorry about that chaps. We didnt realise how hard the hardmode is lol. We were struggling even in hell level armour.

Indeed... seriously dangerous enemies. Wouldn't be too bad but the Chaos Elementals teleport all over the place, coupled with lag they seem to warp EVERYWHERE. Illuminant Bats are just as bad.

Then theres the Hallowed mobs... jeez they're worse than the Corruption mobs. Plus I'm having no luck at all finding the new ores.

I see theres a new house right on spawn. I assume its one of the new chaps. I decided to turn my lava reseviour in to a mushroom farm today anyhow.
