Competitor rules
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Because FRAPs is using processing power of your CPU, thus slowing the game down. Try lowering the resolution of the game to help.
Use the built in demo recording options (google for info) then use fraps to record from those.
No dropped frame rate during play.
You can watch from any angle.
You only need to record highlights rather than having GB's of uncompressed video from fraps.

Main benefit would be from a faster storage device (raid0 Velociraptors or maybe SSD) and a faster cpu if you absolutely have to run FRAPS recording while playing. But as mentioned you should always use demorecording where available.

The demo files are tiny compared to the video files. You can also select lower FPS for the video.
