TFT goes 'out of range' when entering bios...

I have a quite serious problem, and i haven't the faintest how to fix it. My monitor recently blew up and i replaced it with a shiney new tft. Thing is, my bios settings are abit to high (i was seeing if i could squeeze a few more percent out of my setup), but now i can't get into the bios to change it!!

Whenever i hit delete to go into the bios, my tft goes blank and says 'Out of range'. I'm guessing cause it can't display resolutions as low as the bios sends out. I was planning on upgrading quite soon, so i need to be able to get into the bios!

Is this a known problem with tfts? Has anyone ever had this problem and fixed it?

Have you got a VGA port on your TFT? If so use a vga cable with dvi converter to connect to this port and you should be able to then see the settings in the bios

My monitor only has a vga cable. My graphics card only has dvi connections

I have one of those converters inbetween....

I am by no means a TFT expert but is there an option on the TFT setup to scale the image or anything.

I would have thought there must be a way of getting it to display the res the bios displays in?

Managed to get round it by hooking the pc up to the tv. Not ideal tho!!
