Be glad it's not a M52 engine... had to replace mine and it involved removing all six of the coil packs, earth straps, coil pack rail, then about a million bolts and then a good wriggle to get the cover itself out.
Thank god its payday!

That narrows it down a bit, the old faulty oil pressure valve thingy flange plug lead.
£40 for labor, £30 for the gasket.
Local place next to my work are going to do it on Monday if i drop it off before work, and i can pick it up when i finish work, sound reasonable?

the garage took my reg number, so am sure they will get the right one
