Thank goodness for warranty....

I thought it had been established eons ago that your Dad that owned/had given you all that stuff?

No, it was established eons ago (And never once concealed by Iceman) that his parents wealth enabled him to get into a position where he was then able to make his own wealth. Whilst he freely admits he wouldnt be where he is today without his parents wealth, everything he has now is as a result of his own work. This is generally how most people develop wealth - they are given opportunities they wouldnt otherwise have, but then take these opportunities and make their own way with them.

The reason he never gets flack on this forum whereas most others who claim to have things do is because he's never been anything less than 100% honest.

+1. He's a clever chap, with a awesome car collection for his age!

This is interesting news. I will let the housemate know. Not sure what mileage he's on and when his warranty runs out, but I'm sure he'll be happy to know about these sort of issues.

Cheers Gibbo

How many of those miles have you done yourself Gibbo? Thats a hell of a lot of miles for a car thats only 2(and a bit?) years old. Ive read that the AYC pump is a bit dodgy on all Evos once you pass 50k/3 years.

I got the car with 36-38k on the clock, I've put quite a bit on it as I literally go everywhere in it or just take random detours.

I wonder if his girl if fit? Rich guys like that always have fine pussy on tow?

Post a pic of your girl.

Have you any idea how incredibly rude you are coming across ?

You can't just ask people if they are 'rich' ...nor is there a defined scale of what exactly constitutes rich or poor for that matter. My god, fancy asking the chap questions like this.

What you said and the way you phrased it makes you sound like a real *****, I suggest you rethink that approach. You may or may not have been aware of this I don't know, but my jaw almost hit the desk when I read your first few posts in this thread.

Well worth looking into as most will be running out of warranty in a few months and most are probably only around 30-40k mileage so its doubtful pumps will fail.

It would be a nasty bill to get out of warranty. Hence my car might be high miles but due to that mileage things that do fail are doing so within warranty period. Still saying that due to how expensive parts are for the EVO I shall extend the warranty for two reasons, first one to protect my wallet and secondly re-sale value.

Selling an EVO over 3yrs old with 50k and no warranty will result in me getting like 18-19k. Yet selling the same car with extended Mitsubishi warranty will cost me a grand but it will also mean resale value will be around 20k. :)

I'm considering whether I should buy extended warranty or not for my car. It's quite new (2007) but just an average 1 series, nothing special.. unlike the EVO :p I got a quote from BMW for £487 Comp cover with £0 excess... Should I??

Thats bargain!

Because failures can happen, some cost £20, some cost £2000, who's to say your gearbox or engine could not fail? Its highly doubtful but still.......

Knowing my luck something will go horribly wrong if I didn't buy extended warranty.. I suppose £487 will buy me peace of mind even if nothing ends up going wrong :)

That sounds like a bargain especially as its with Bmw.
