Did Back & Triceps yesterday.

Deadlift: 40kg & 20kg Bar, 9 reps; 50kg & 20kg Bar 8 Reps; 60kg & 20kg Bar 7 Reps.

Stiff-Leg Deadlift: 40kg & 20kg Bar, 8 reps; 50kg & 20kg Bar 8 reps; 60kg & 20kg Bar, 7 reps.

Bent Over Rows: 30kg & 20kg Bar 8x3.

Rope Pushdown: 11.46kg 12 reps; 13.25kg 8x3.

Close Grip Bench Press: 20kg and 20kg Bar: 12 reps, 30kg & 20kg bar 8x3.

Skullcrushers: 20kg Barbell, 8x3.

I only managed 4 Narrow Grips and 3 Wide Grip Pullups. I'm hoping all the back work I did tired me out and it's down to that.

Someone may correct me, but I wouldn't do a Deadlift and SLDL on the same day; one or t'other! They both hammer the same muscles (although SLDL's hit the hammy's a lot more) so you can utilise your time better :)

I wasn't sure, so I did both :o

Probably more worthwhile if I stick to Deadlifts next Back/Triceps day.

Doesn't really look like a very complete back day. Where's the lat exercises?

Also when you write the weight just include the bar in the total instead of separately i.e. 40kg x 8

This is what I do for back:
Deadlift
Wide-grip pullups
Seated Rows
Wide-grip pull down
Bent over rows

Tried to get on the Lat Machine, it was never available :(

It's the only Lat Machine in the Gym.

Better luck next time.

I've heard you say a few times that you didn't do x because someone was using it. I go to the gym with a set plan of what I will do, if it's being used I kindly ask if I can join in or wait until they are done - never had a problem.

I only need ask!

I'll do my Legs on Thursday, I'll try to be a bit more pro-active in getting on equipment if it is in use.

Worse comes to worse, you don't have to use that machine. Pull ups will work your lats (do you have an assisted machine there?), One arm rows with a dumbell, Low Row machine, T-Bar rows with a bar bell; there's lots you can do to hit your lats instead of that one specific machine.

Myprotein is 7 years old today! free delivery on £5+ orders. They've also got some random offers on twitter and facebook.

God I sound like a rep lol. I'm quite tempted to try out some cissus hmmm to buy or not to buy...

LOL Morba :D

My motivation was simply that I was sick of having spudly arms when I used to be a thicker set (albeit fatter) man. I don't do it to compete with other men or steal women :p

We have been using some TRX's http://www.trx-fitness.com/ at my gym the past few weeks. Never in all my years of training have many abs been so sore. Using them to do planks is like medieval torture :(
Really good with bodyweight rows, as finisher on upper body days too.

Got some of those in my gym too, I only use them for stretching my shoulder in various ways at the moment (just like in the vid icecold posted about scap movement) but yeah, some of the guys use it for core work and it looks brutal.

I've been using a cable machine for my shoulder stretches at the moment :) REALLY works, massive thanks to icecold for that link :) Plan on doing them once or twice a week with my cardio work outs, as it's just stretching :)

SLDL on leg day!

I've used these too, useful bit of kit. Pressups become quite interesting :)

Got my eyes on a box to try some box squatting in the next few weeks. I used to boost off an oly bench to squat so have done something similar before. Felt very much like recruitment from a press yet with the benefits of a squat. Hoping it'll also help to make the lower portion of my squat feel more comfortable and also stronger.

You got a car? We're doing the first "Strongman" session on Sunday (hopefully) if you are bored :)
