*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

although you could argue that on activation have you "activated" an element of software too ....

software is excluded and if its embedded on the device ?

Just out of curiousity, how long is it taking you guys to charge yer iPads from flat?

I've just drained my iPad and started charging it from 20:20
Its not 22:25 and its done around 55% so at this rate, its looking like 4 hours for a full recharge from flat!

Is it not possible to sync different apps to my iphone and ipad? Itunes seems to want to sync the same for each and i'll be damned if i'm going back through my lists to recheck them each time!

Yep it sucks!
Everytime i get an app for teh iphone and then later sync my ipad it installs it on that aswell and then i gotto manually remove it

Is it just me who doesnt see the point in Goodreader?
I just leave everything in my free dropbox account and use the free dropbox app to get at stuff? Or am i missing something?

That magazine app, cant remember the name off the top of my head, looks interesting. £8.50ish for 10 issues of most of the mags on there suddenly makes magazines plausable to buy. As they are WAY overpriced now in paper format.

That was commented on earlier in this thread and the reactions were along the lines of "yes, that's how it's supposed to work, just select manually what you want". Now people have got their iPads they're realising that it is a pain to do it like that which is why we said there should be the equivalent of playlists for apps.

Ooh which mags preytell?

And also isnt dropbox a subscriptions service?

Dropbox is free. 2GB basic account.

I just Dropbox at the minute and it's great. Don't see the point in GoodReader! But then again I don't see the point in Pulse. I just want basic look/feel for my RSS feeds not all fancy polished turd.

But does drop box read PDFs? thats the point of Goodreader I think.

Is Pulse this magazine that BoomAM was on about tsinc?
Drop box reads pretty much everything.
Ive havnt come across anything it doesnt do yet, and the fact that its the files i have at work and at home too, means i dont have to do more organising...

I think the mag app is Zenio or something like that. iPads just recharging atm otherwise i'd check for you. :).
