I've caved in and I'm getting myself a 32gb 3G model tomorrow. Not sure what the data plans are like over here however, hopefully fairly comparable with the ones in the UK.
 
Handbrake Problem

Hi,

Ive converted a movie using handbrake using the Apple TV format but when i try to import the movie into itunes nothing happens.

Is there a particular way to import it or something?

What's the best way of preserving the batteries health? Presumably it's the same as you would with a laptop i.e let it run all the way down and then charge it?

Been browsing on it for about an hour now and it's still at 100%, I want it to stay like that :p

I'm not that dissimilar to you. I was bored and decided pick one up even when I said it was rubbish and just a big iphone (which it is) when it was first announced.

I don't need it, as I still have to use my Macbook Pro for most task. But mainly wanted it to stream movie/television in the bath :D
 
Well guys and girls(possibly lol) I got the iPad the other day and to be honest I'm addicted to it too as another poster!

Streaming tv/movies ; comics ; games etc etc, and even a picture frame/viewer.

IMO it's an impressive product, yes it is basically a large iPhone/iPod but it's sum is greater than it's parts! :D
 
Cant understand why people say it a phone.. I honestly find it miles better and quicker than my iphone 3gs but when the new iphone comes out that could be a different story... But I am using my iPad more than my Macbook Pro at the moment... Thinking selling my Macbook Pro and get myself a iMac...

Will be interesting to see what the next iPads have on them! Speed enhances of course. A camera maybe.. Though thats quite a while off so :D

What are people doing on their iPads then so much compared to their laptops/desktops? Browsing web on them more and stuff?
 
I am doing mostly what I did in my matchbook pro which is internet and emails and the iPad does it quicker in my point of views as well as being lighter and easier carry around. Hence the reason thinking rid of the mbp and get a iMac for the hardcore work.....
 
Still need to stock up on accesories for my pad to get the most out of it, but loving it so far, will only get more and more use as more apps pop up.

Whats the battery drain like using Night Stand HD all night? or do you just leave it plugged in?

Don't think i would need anything... a case i guess (though i dont use one for my ipod touch)
And that would be it... the cam kit maybe... if i ever saw a need for it...and a charger for the wall if my apple one doesn't work though i dont see why it wouldnt. As you just plug it into the wall then put a usb into it and off you go :)

So what else is there?
