********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

I'm confused.

Please tell me this is a joke?

yes it is. 3 is now Apple's official partner (that's why they have the cheapest deals) and all phones are locked to them. don't worry, there's a resonable unlock fee. £50 instantly or £30 after 6 months or £15 after a year. Pretty decent TBH :)

Just placed my order for Iphone 4s had a sony ericsson w880i for years so its finally time for a smartphone.

Just finished with my first topcashback transaction also so should get 3% back off the £700 for iphone 4s 64gb white.

I am on a rolling simcard with virgin, how do I transfer my number over?. Thinking of getting a giffgaf sim as they seemed ideal for the price!

Edit - Delivery between 21-28th!

mine tracking on synchreon shows as out for delivery as of 1735 on thursday in Hinckley......

interesting given I live in central london. Fingers crossed it turns up tomorrow.

In queue at metro centre apple store! Anyone else here? Only about 100 people altogether very quiet, not sure people realised the metro enter was opening early for it.

if you have brought the phone sim free then get your pac code from virgn and get yourself a giffgaff sim
http://giffgaff.com/orders/affiliate/djc545
then once you have the pac code login to your giffgaff account and click on "Keep my number" and enter all the details

Mine is out for delivery too :)

I always seem to get quite lucky with iPhone releases. for the 4 I just strolled upto a Vodafone store at 9am and was 2nd in queue, they only had about 10 in stock. This time I pre-ordered with Orange on the 11th and its coming out today - thought I might have had quite a wait

Peeps,

Is it still necessary to fully charge the phone for X amount of hours before properly using it?

If so how many hours are you likely to charge it for?
