*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Not a chance - the 9070 is around 7900GRE performance, which is basically the same as a 6950XT.

9060XT is rumoured to be 32 CU for 2048 Shaders. The 7600XT is a 2048 Shader part.

Allowing for architecture improvements and clock speed boosts, I think it will come somewhere near a 7700XT maybe?
Considering the rumours that also put the 9070 non XT near the 7900XT it is certainly "possible". So I guess we will know once the actual reviews are out showing where the 9070 and 9070XT will land. If the 9070 is actually GRE level of performance then I see your point otherwise my point stands. Maybe you have access to some information that the most of us doesn't? :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that my statement is based on the rumoured specs ending up being incorrect. Otherwise its a tall order.

The hype train has really taken a nose dive these past few pages!

my mate was talking to a person on the internet who is a friend of the person that cuts the grass for someone that lives a few miles down the road from Lisa Su, so we know it's legit info and he says these will be 399 and 499. choo-choo

It's like the PL Transfer window is open again.

Nothing but the facts!

I think.. after a strong nap tomorrow you could bag one of them mythical msrp units (a few days later) for £579 and have a king kong upgrade from the legendary Vega!

Seeing the state of some posters posts recently, if AMD came in with super low prices you would get a meltdown anyway.

So it'll be win win in that regards, however i'd like an upgrade so hopefully it's good prices and laughable meltdowns. If priced badly, I'll wait for discounts in 3 months or next generation and hopefully nvidia/Amd get their fingers out and produce something sensible in price/performance

Can anyone actually quote some posts from people who are raging/melting down? As far as I can see, there might be 1 or 2 that fall into that category in the last day or so, but it's certainly not widespread.

The vast majority of it is just meme'ing on pricing and the current state of affairs.

too early for the proper rage meltdown - but just you wait. if these aren't being given away for free or close to it, there will be tears.

I've been drafting my post for the last week. Plenty of stock on my end so there shouldn't be any delays either.

If the hype train and the realist train meet in the middle that'd still be a win. Because the hype train is in cloud cuckoo land.
