*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

There isn't a huge discrepancy.

The 5070Ti is crackers worse than the 4070Ti in the context provided.

Anyone of us could have bought a 4080 or 7900xtx within the last year or so at a price not too dissimilar to what I expect is going to be announced tomorrow.
Sure but then again the problem has never really been what you could buy a one year old GPU for, one year from the release of the next GPU.

It's been, particularly for AMD, that new GPUs are released at far to high a price point only to see prices fall some months later.

This is the recent leak on prices, although I'm not sure it's worth posting considering we'll get confirmed details tomorrow :

AMD FSR 4 coming to 30+ games at launch, here’s the list

This release has got to be the longest foreplay in history. I just hope tomorrow it does not make a mess. I hope you lot wanting cards get cheaper prices. However the child in me is looking forward to this forum if the prices are higher than expected.

It's going to be funny if they are £700 or more

"Here's the moment you've been waiting for.....it's a 7900xtx with only 66.6% of the vram and all for the same cost! Enjoy!"

The scene set then for a Monster Hunter Wilds and Space Marine 2 showdown :)

One thing I've learned this week after having subbed to Game Pass PC, and currently playing STALKER 2, my 3070 ti is giving me enough power to play that game at 1440p in a state that I'm happy with. I don't feel the need to upgrade if the price, and performance, isn't there. The nVidia options are off the table given the pricing and launch issues. I've become a casual gamer now.

With no Cyberpunk or Black Myth Wukong you know AMD is just not serious about this business. :o

But my point is that there's nothing exciting about it. People are gonna be hyped and having Fomo for nothing other than what is effectively a price change. If the price is something like £500 then it's something exciting cos it will massively shake up the market. But if it's £800 it's completely meh.

I'm thinking the same.

I was playing KCD2 on my RTX 3070 laptop (performs maybe slightly worse than a 3060 Ti desktop) and it looked great at 3440x1440. I want to switch back to a desktop again. But at this point I'm thinking I'll just put in an offer for b-grade card. Maybe a 7700 XT for a +25%ish upgrade and more VRAM without breaking the bank?

Most of my gaming is on Steam Deck now anyway, so it would make more sense to spend the extra on a more powerful handheld.

I considering a 7700XT also, but they're still £380. I could have got a 7800XT for £400 new, so 7700XT isn't exactly a bargain
