The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Aye, some nice offers in there, although the only one I'm interested in and haven't already got is Beck so I'll probably order that tomorrow :)

I'm currently watching Grimgar (which cost £20 thanks to the silent voice code stacked with last weeks offer), and enjoying it quite a lot.
I love the aesthetic of it, and it brings back a lot of memories of Ultima Online back in 2000 :) (some of the same reasons I loved .hack).

I'm slightly worried by how many of those series I've got on DVD....:D

I really wish MVM had kept releasing Patlabor on blu-ray as I've got the full set on DVD from the US but the Blu-ray of the first OVA's was a nice upgrade.

I finished Grimgar last night which was really good fun and lovely art style (it was the art that got me to blind buy it), I wouldn't mind seeing a second season of it having enjoyed the first so much.

Next up is probably going to one of the following
Tokyo Marble Chocolate
Girls Beyond the wasteland
Kill me baby
Hidamari Sketch
Love, election, chocolate
Noein Eden of the East
or Giovanni's Island

As they're all sat on the side waiting to be watch, although I've seen Eden of the East, and Noein in the past so it'll probably be one of the others :)

Aye, I think I got most of mine from DVD Pacific (according to my notes I paid about £13.5 per set back in 2006) when I think the DVD's were going out of print from the old Animeigo release.

£200+ is too much for a series for me to consider now if i'm honest, even one I love as much as Patlabor, although if that's everything it is about 70+ episodes (7 OVA, 47 TV, 16 new files).

I ended up watching Giovanni's Island, which was very and well done in terms of story.
I guessed that it wasn't going to have a happy ending the moment the Kanta got the cough, although the ending was nicely done (and had me thinking for a moment that Junpai had died at the reunion/school graduation ceremony when Tanya's grand daughter who looked exactly like Tanya first appeared).
I really need to watch some more happy and upbeat stuff, despite trying to avoid the sad stuff at the moment as I keep ending up watching stuff that results in dust getting in my eyes.

i'm going to make a start on either Love, Election and Chocolate or Kill Me Baby tonight, I think they should be safer/more light hearted anime :)

I've got Kakeguri on my list to watch soon, I finished Girls beyond the wasteland which was fun but not really anything special and it didn't hook my interest fully for most of the first half of the serious (although that might have been in part because I was watching it subbed and was tired enough I was struggling to concentrate on the subs).

Tonight I'm probably going to watch another episode of The Ancient Magus Bride and start either Kill me Baby, or Beck.

I'm also sampling various light novels trying to decide what to get (and reading the Attack on Titan manga, as I got the humble bundle with the full set a few weeks bakc).

Oops

My finger slipped, repeatedly and I've somehow ended up ordering the GITS SAC set.

No idea how that happened.;)

I don't know if anyone has noticed but alltheanime have a few offers on pre-orders running out tomorrow, highschyool dxd born, gonna be the twin tail and a few others.

I can't remember I don't think I ever saw it available, I've got a feeling it was around the time Manga were having issues and stopped distributing funi titles or something as I've got the manga release of season 1 and the BBFC has no listing at all for season 2 (it lists season 1 and 3).

That's about what I remember, I know I was annoyed at the time:D

Alltheanime has assination classroom series 2 part 1 on offer at the moment, and animeonline/mvm have an offer with an extra 20% off all their titles at the moment but the site is borked.

I need to watch Trigun again as it's been far too long, and I never got round to watching the film!

I might try and fit that in soon, although I've got so much stuff on netflix to watch, not to mention new discs and some from Christmas left

I've just finished watching "Napping Princess" which was thoroughly enjoyable, and reminded me a bit of "Summar Wars" for the story, and "The Girl who leapt through time" for the visuals (with some mech that remind me of Eva).
I didn't really know much about it when I took a gamble on Alltheanime's pre-order price but I'm really glad I did as it's had me sat watching it for the last couple of hours (I should really have gone back to bed though:D).

Talking of alltheanime they've got more pre-order offers up, both parts of "Snow White with the red hair" and "Yona of the Dawn" are £17 each, as is the full sets of "Kiss him not me" and "Brother's conflict", whilst "Ouran High School Host Club - Blu-ray Ltd edition" is £25.
I'm tempted by Snow White, but I've spent too much on anime recently and have a model show coming up.

I need to find a new anime to watch, not many good ones lately
What sort of things do you like, and have you gone back through some of the older stuff?

I keep finding older titles that I enjoy which is both handy and annoying as I can't keep up with new releases let alone stuff I heard about years ago but didn't manage to watch at the time.

I've barely managed to watch any of the last few seasons new titles (I've managed to only fall behind by about 3 episodes on The Ancient Magus Bride but that's the only one I kept up with!).

also on the anime limited news front. Anime Limited have acquired streaming and home video rights to "full metal panic invisible victory". :)

*starts enthusiastically humming the A team FMP theme with the occassional fumofuu thrown in for luck*

That's really good news, it'll be an instant buy for me given how much I've enjoyed the other FMP series, although not totally surprising given they've got the rights for the rest of it :)

After being good with ATA's other offer this week I ordered Sword Art Online S2 earlier :(
I'm a bad wolfy.
