hmmm ... not to bad, I've definitely got some of those but I think only on DVD not on BD.

Checking; haven't got one of them and of the other four only have one on BD already (from last years 12 days)

edit: Actually I don't have two of them as whilst i thought I had Serial Experiments Lain on DVD it turns out I haven't (which was quite surprising).

Pretty much the same here, except I've only got one of them any any format

I've been lucky with the bundles so far this Christmas (not so lucky with the summer/clearance ones).

I also received my ATA framed pictures yesterday (Summer Wars and Faye), (un?)fortunately by the time I spotted them on they day they went up Asuka was sold out (although that's possibly not a great one for someone my age to put on a wall

).

Fortunately I have zero wall space left in the house for more pictures between existing ones and bookcases (and I mean house, not just one room), hence I didn't bother with any of the ones they had as there was no way I could put them up, (I do have both Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time posters framed already which came with an anime magazine a few years ago)

What I'm hoping to do when I redecorate my computer/hobby room is put up a "gallery" style hanging system on one wall so I can change the pictures I've got up easily without having to make more holes in the wall

At the moment I've got a bit of an odd mix of Anime and Discworld, with an A2 "Danger girls" lithograph (which is now about 25 years old), and 3 or 4 more that I've had sat waiting to go up for 4 or 5 years.

Having picked up my AOL 1st mystery bundle I was just looking through to pull the DVDs for things which I already had (they are going to my dad) ... but I really really need to sort out my BDs as I was quite surprised how many other DVDs I was seeing which I then realised I'd also got on BD now (mostly from the various Christmas deals over the last couple of years) ... but also looked in my two anime DVD cupboards (which I don't normally go into much as there is normally things in from of them). as I was sure I had 'Lain on DVD, .... so much in there I'd completely forgotten about ....

A relatively light year, partly because I was having trouble getting the time to watch anime especially new/sub only stuff (I've got a backlog of blu-rays to watch, let alone streaming), and partly because I ended up spending quite a lot on wargaming models (I've got pretty much the full range of the Hellboy game to paint, same for the new Dredd one, kickstarted the battletech one, and that's in addition to my Wh40K stuff).

OK I watched Gantz:O and it has to be one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

I just couldn't help thinking, "LOL, Japan" the whole way through. Because as a self-contained story I can't say it made even a shred of a sense.

I'm not the target audience, I suppose, because I don't read manga; I'm simply not into picture/comic books as a medium. I'm not the sort of person who will start reading the source material after watching the film.

But damn, it has left an impression. I occasionally find myself thinking back on it, and although I saw it some months ago, today I couldn't help but search "Gantz:O wtf is going on" to get some answers

I know this isn't a review thread, but I'd give it 7 WTFs/10. Would WTF again. Also, lol Japan (in a good way, the world needs their sort of crazy).

Now watching Boku no Hīrō Akademia. I honestly don't get the hype. Sure it's amusing, but it follows all the usual cliches, and it's predictable as hell.

I ended up ordering pretty much all the remaining funi titles i hadn't got on the last day of ATA's clearance.
All I've managed to actually watch in the last month was Carole & Tuesday on netflix, hopefully I'll manage to actually start watching some next week (we've been having decorating done which should be finished Friday).

I've just started it too. It's not top-tier, but it's pretty good for what it is. I get the impression it's one of those anime for people who have never watched anime.
