The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Aye i'm still waiting on the rest of that bundle (for some reason I typed bungle at first:p), and was a little worried that it was a single item and not one I'd ordered for a minute or two (especially as the note mentioned partial/non delivered), then saw the email explaining what was going on.

It's nice to see it is getting cleared up, and I suspect ATA will be glad when they stop getting emails from people trying to chase up orders:)
 
I received the remainder of the second mystery box a few hours ago:) (TNT and the contents of the box felt like they'd been kept in a fridge*)

of which I already had Tokyo ESP from 2016.

So all three mystery packages have been good for me this year, with only 2 duplicates in total (and one where I'd got the ancient DVD's).

I suspect some time later in the year when I'm planning to redecorate my computer/media/model room I'll end up sorting out my collection and getting rid of duplicates, as I think at this point I've got 3 or 4 duplicated BD sets, but they're spread out all over the place.


*I noticed that with both the previous TNT packages, and someone on another forum commented on it, I don't remember packages from other delivery services feeling the same.
 
I'd nearly bought 3 of those, but had to put it off due to overspending when ATA did the "early" offers so was waiting for either a deal or a standard release:)

I'm going to try and avoid buying any more anime for a few months, as it's taking me around a week to watch a 26 episode series and I've got about 30 series (although only about half are 26 episodes).
 
I've managed Love Lice, Ajin season 1, Blade & Soul and most of Shangri La*, and In this corner of the world since the start of December.
I'm not sure what's next but I've definitely got choices :D

At least you've got it now:)

I really hope that ATA either don't use Sony DADC next year, or if they do they get some better assurance (and penalty clauses) in regards to performance.
Although even with all the faff and delay it was worth it for the deals :)

I'm currently watching Erased (just finished set 1, fortunately I managed to pick up set 2 for £15 a couple of weeks back), and thoroughly enjoying it, I'm looking forward to see how it goes.
 
I just finished watching Erased, which turned out to extremely good, just about the right length and I loved the ending.

Next up is probably going to be Garden of Words :)

Unfortunately I've never got into Dragon Ball:(
If my nephews were a little younger and still into it I'd have taken them though.
 
I watched Garden of Words last night, and wow.

Visually it's one of the best films I've seen in a while (not just anime but LA), and the story is really tightly told, it always surprises me how well Shinkai tells a story with so little being said, and in what is often such a short time.
I should really have picked this up so long ago.

Cheers, I've added it to my Netflix list, I may download it to my tablet to watch tomorrow as I've got to take my dad to the hospital and usually end up spending a couple of hours minimum sat in the car :) (I think nwtflix allows download to tablet on it's app).

I started watching Harmony last night which is looking good, but I had to turn it off halfway through as I was too tired to keep going.

I'm currently about 3 series, and 2 films down out of my November/December buys...Only about 20 more to go:p
 
That's on my to watch list, but I'm still working through my December ATA and MVM buys :)

I'm currently at about episode 18 or 20 of Assassination Classroom season 1 and thoroughly enjoying it, and still have season 2 and about a dozen other things to watch as I'm barely managing an average of an hour a day (at this rate I'll clear that backlog by June).
 
The new Perfect Blue set looks gorgeous, but i can't justify £90 for it no matter how much I like the film :(

Having said that I have realised that once the add ons have been counted, my Gunsmith Cats kickstarter pledge now works out at about £90 (I went for the premium set and added the artbook).
 
I may have gone a little mad and bought it...

Apparently they may do the book with CD separately at a later date but it's one of my favourite anime films and the look/CD swung it for me.

I think that'll be the third time I've bought it now, DVD (going back to about 2000), the original Blu-ray release, and now this remastered ultimate edition.

I hope they're going to get round to releasing Millennium Actress and Memories at some point as I really want them on blu-ray.

I've got to avoid buying any more anime for a month or so as I've overspent repeatedly with the likes of the Christmas deals and a new TV (and have a huge backlog of stuff to watch).

I finished Assassination Classroom which I've thoroughly enjoyed, the last few episodes took a slightly darker turn than most of the rest of the season and I liked the ending (and the fact it had an ending:p)
I wouldn't mind a sequel/side story for it though...
It's one of the best series I've seen in a the last year, that's for certain.

I've started tracking how much anime I'm watching out of curiosity and it's currently quite low (about 45 minutes a night), mainly due to decorating and trying to do some models (I've taken to making use of my audible books/buying the audible versions of some of the books I'be bought on the kindle as often they're only £3-5 for the audio version).
 
I'm currently still working my way through the December stuff:p

Just finished watching lain on Blu-ray, which was fun and the first time I've seen it in years:)

I'm probably going to take a break from Anime tonight and watch Wreck it Ralph 2 (yes I know:p), then probably Princess Aretta or the Case of Alice and Hana.

I think I started a very long time ago and got about 50 or so series entered then forgot about it (I've got far more than that just on DVD now).

I just had an unexpected knock at the door, a large parcel from Sony DAOC, and rather heavy, i'd forgotten the new Perfect Blue set was out soon.

I haven't opened it up fully but they aren't taking any chances on damage in transit, and from what I can see of the contents It's looking good:)
I'll try and get some pictures this evening.
 
The BD of Tenchi is well done, I wish they'd do Universe and the other OVA arcs.

I've not really been watching much this last couple of weeks, I may put the new Perfect Blue release on tonight (that's a lovely set), and I've got a load of stuff left over from Crhistmas still.
 
Re Patlabor, if they'd continued to release it on BD I would have bought everything, it's a great series and 3 great films.

Macross may be a bit harder as IIRC there are still issues with the two japanese companies so even without HG there may be a problem, but I can't remember the details of how the legal situation ended up (who got what rights, just that the two would rather see each other basically burn to the ground than agree to anything that gives the other more money;)).


All the anime are doing a bundle of 9 titles for £40 as part of a warehouse clearance.

I've taken the plunge, so I suspect in a few weeks I'll probably have a few more duplicated sets:p

Aye I'm hoping the same, I strongly suspect I'll get at least a couple of duplicates given what I've bought on DVD over the years, and what I've bought of ATA's releases, but it only really needs a couple I haven'g got to at least cover the cost of the box:)

Any duplicates will likely get given to one of my friends if they haven't got it:)

I opened up my Perfect Blu Ultimate Edition earlier and my god it's lovely:)
I'm going to sit down and read the book in the next day or two, then watch the film in a few days (currently watching a series).

Does anyone know if ATA have done an early offer on Mirai? I can't remember one but they tend to do them for most releases and I'm tempted to order it.
