I don't think they actually enforce this. I've had no trouble ordering more than one in the past.
It makes sense as although the saving is only small if you get the extra years warranty for free then it's worth it

There's no extra warranty on the iPad, it's only Macs.
The limit on purchases in the T&C's isn't one order a year, but one of each sort of mac, and more for other things.

Makes sense to get the iPad from the department store then as they give a free two year warranty.
It's one desktop & one laptop per year. So an iPad wouldn't effect your ability to purchase a laptop as well. As for HE warranty on the checkout page if you expand the part about AppleCare it tells you exactly the warranty it comes with:

MBA 13inch with the 8gb ram upgrade for last year of Uni and as an 'investment' for a good few years after that. £929. planning of travelling a lot too so..
Wi be using photoshop and possibly little bits of video editing so will need the ram. current MBP have poor resolution and the cost of an SSD is brutal. Is there a planned refresh of the MBP soon? Might hold out.

Its £859 and you get the three year warranty £70 voucher and next day delivery 
The MBA is the same price and what I went for and got on thursday. I'm also studying with OU no problems just order it over the phone.

After you have ordered it they just ask you to forward an email for OU as proof. I just sent my confirmation of registration email to the fella and he was happy with it.
They're in no rush for it and don't seem bothered about you proving it. THey were the same when I got a macbook pro years back. They never bothered even asking.

Yea, Im at OU too and just recently purchased my pro and i havent been asked for the confirmation of registration. Just told them OU and they didnt say no more. Big +1 for Apple and the HE discount scheme.
