The Battlefield Hardline Benchmarks Thread

I would be enjoying it if I didn't get this every few minutes. I haven't played one full round yet

I don't have millris action, using the MSI app, i will try to record Mantle with it :)

I'm currently re-downloading it as the first time round i had Origin set to install on one of my mechanical drives, this one i want on my SSD.

I've found a better way to record now. Still using Mirillis to capture the AVI footage but am using VirtualDub to encode. Should allow me to upload actual 1440P quality to youtube all being well. File size is not too big either.

You should just use ShadowPlay, it records up to 1600P.... Ohhhh you can't :p

I do like VirtualDub, although I find Handbrake better if you're just converting video (and want H264 in an mp4 or mkv container), but if you need a bit more control VirtualDub is great, although I think it only output an AVI container.

It's been a while, but I think I found Handbrake faster.

I didn't realise you could record Mantle footage, yet alone use Mantle. :p

Jokes aside ill be surprised if ShadowPlay can offer the same recording quality as 1440P AVI converted in VirtualDub, upload some footage so i can see. :)

Using the Xvid MP4 codec. Not sure on the final quality yet, looks ace when i play it back on my pc. Will see if youtube butchers it.

Yes it does seem quite slow encoding. I've got used to Intel Quick Sync and boy is that fast.

Yeah, Xvid isn't a bad codec. H264 tends to result in a better quality video at the same size (in my experience) or smaller size at the same quality. Although I don't think quality settings are comparable (the numerical value you set) so it's just my opinion based on a visual comparison.
Also not sure how well Xvid threads (I believe it's fairly old these days), H264 is slightly newer I believe.
There was also a beta version of Handbrake that supported QuickSync which sped things up considerably. I believe quality suffers when using QuickSync to speed up video encoding though.

Yep sounds about right. So you reckon i should use H264? Is that possible with VirtualDub? Can i just download the codec, install it (same as i did Xvid) and then it will appear in VirtualDub as an option?

I will record some 1600P action but it will take me a week to upload on my 70K upload speed :(
