The best Led Zep Cover ever!!!

You're right about the precise, but it's missing one vital thing: there's no squeak on the kick drum pedal. That made the song!

Seriously it's a pretty faithful cover, but lacking something, maybe the power led zep had. Fairly unsurprising since these guys aren't led zep but i agree, they've definitely got something good going on here. I'm not a big fan of covers that are identical.

I wish i could think of a favourite off the top of my head that isn't rolf harris but the best i can come up with is Zakk Wylde's version of In my time of dying. There's a power to that song that almost (and i mean almost) makes it better. Obviously not quite.

Still really good band though, they definitely have some talent!

edit: just remembered Zep's version on their live dvd that came out a few years back. You might be right about plant bottling out of the tough parts but page's just on form that night

I closed my eyes and thought - thats close.
I knew it couldn't be Zeppelin live because I could hear both bass & keyboards however the music is spot on.
Obviously you could tell as soon as the singer started it wasn't Plant because he isn't as whiny and Plant is hard to master.

The other week I guested with a band that did 5 Zep covers in a row and when I came off people were saying I sounded just like Plant but at the same time I also sounded like Bon Scott, oh and Bruce Dickinson during the 2 Iron Maiden songs.
The tnonsense people talk when they've been drinking.

The II is short for 'Too ****ing loud'. It's a rubbish cover actually

Not bad at all.

Never been a fan of Plant's tone in all honesty, but I did enjoy that cover. The vocals were very good.

Wrong album. S I B L Y was on "III". I hope you're talking about the album art because if you think that rendition is rubbish then you're ****** in the head.

Everything , from the tone of the lead guitar to the tone of the snare is copied damn near perfect.

I think he's misread the thread title and we're talking about album art covers.
We all know the original 3rd album cover with the rotating disc was the best.

I put it to you that The Bad Plus do the best cover of a Led Zep song ever.

Go here and click on Iron Man in the player at the top of the page. Honestly, give it a chance past the initial intro and see what you think. This band are awesome. Proves you don't need a guitar, or any electricity to play heavy!
