Asda Mobile is the cheapest PAYG deal in the UK ATM. 8p per minute & 4p per text and they use the Vodafone network. I've used them for a few months without problem.

EDIT: I had the same problem MikeHunt79. Turned out I had to put the APN address in the APN name field with my phone. All the other settings were fine:

O.o Thanks, I'll give that a go. :) Their data is pretty cheap also isn't it? 10p per gigabyte or something like that?

I'd say O2 is the best depending on how much you top-up and bolt-ons.

    I top-up £10 per month and get:
    - 300 free texts
    - 1000 free mins or texts to 10 favourite numbers (costs £5)
    - £5 left to spend on calls to other networks/landlines/O2 numbers not in top 10/additional texts

All depends on what you want/need :)

I've managed to get the internet to work with ASDA but MMS messaging still eludes me.

I thought it was good too until I realised the 1000 minutes were only to other 02 numbers and no one I know is on 02 so not good for everyone.

    Cheers,

Three themselves have a pretty fair offering (you didn't say why you wanted out):

    £10 gets you

300 texts (600 if you top up online)
    3000 3-3 minutes
    Free voicemail
    150mb internet
    Free skype/MSN
These last for 90 days, unlike the 30 of most operators.

    Asda one looks really good.

Thing is, i would want to keep my existing telephone number. Are there instances where someone has lost their number? I need my number for work and would hate for them to mess it up!
