The best way to do this?

Hey guys,

So I have a client who has a large amount of images on a network drive stored on a server. They are using MacBooks.

What they would like to do is open up the network drive - then type in a keyword - for e.g.; sunsets - and all the photos they have added that keyword to - comes up.

I know spotlight can do this - but does it work for network drives?
Also - they don't want to add the photos to their iPhoto libraries either.

Any advice would be great!

Checked that site before I posted - not really what I am looking for. From what they say it's messy and doesn't work. I want to know if that is the case - what will work?

That seems to work - only people is that you have to rerun the command every time the drive is remounted.

Maybe I can create a script that the user can run after mounting the drive, each time?

Or just a script which mounts the drive and then does that all in one?

Well I could use Automater for that, I guess.

Here is the question though: Will the users have to keyword all the files every time they mount it using the script?
