The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Man wrestling sucks so bad these days. Attitude era and WCW were the days, i cant even watch it now its so kiddish and bad with its PG Rating. TNA was good but hasn't seemed to kick on. WWE needs some competition again otherwise its just gonna continue sucking so bad.

i mean, Mizz, Ryback? what the hell.

Woah, this thread's died a bit of a death!

I've just bought Total Extreme Wrestling 2013, a massive in-depth wrestling management sim. It provides creative control from feuds, all the way down to match length and placement on the card.

So, rather than take control of a company such as CHIKARA, I figured it would be fun to set up my own promotion with members of the OcUK forum forming the roster, and then have a thread going in PC Gaming to document the progress. Of course, this assumes there is enough interest and people volunteering for the idea. I'd post regularly with info on how the promotion is doing, as well as look to the forum for ideas for rivalries and feuds. Have a beef with someone here on the forum? Take it out on them in the ring!

Any interest? :D

Hahaha that sounds superb!

Its wrestlemania season, it'll pick up.

Apparently the top card we are looking at is:

WWE Title
The Rock (c) vs John Cena

WHC
Sheamus (c) vs Randy Orton (who will be a heel)

Streak
Undertaker vs CM Punk

Grudge Match
HHH vs Lesnar

Awesome, if ther's more interest I'll start a thread in PC Gaming stating the intentions, for those who don't follow wrestling but are interested in taking part anyway!

Agree with everything there. No way that Rock will be leaving Wrestlemania as the champ as there is nothing else they can do with him. Orton needs to be a heel again, and they'll give him the title so the faces are challenging him for it.

No idea how they would work for Punk Vs Taker, I guess punk wanting to prove he is the best in the world by breaking the streak? Won't happen though.
And HHH will beat Lesnar because.

Is that game any good? Mini review? = )

Nah I'm gonna go with;

WWE Title: The Rock (c) v Cena v CM Punk
World Title: The Big Show (c) v Ryback*
The Undertaker v Brock Lesnar
Sheamus v Randy Orton

*Ryback who wins the Royal Rumble match

Just a random interjection, I don't follow WWE, but this is the same stuff as WWF was many years ago, ran by some McMahon guy?
Were the rock, the undertaker and the big show not all competeing around 10-15 years ago also? Or are these new guys using the old names?

Yes to everything you've said :p

The Rock is mostly an actor now, and has come back as a 'special attraction' to work a series of matches with the top guys.

The Undertaker only wrestles once a year at Wrestlemania because he's 47 and can't really do any more matches than that. But he still does them fantastically.

The Big Show is the only one you mentioned who is an active member of the roster, but is currently not doing much since he keeps switching between being a face, a heel, and just being slow and overweight.

There are lots of new faces about though.

Has it come out of the PG era yet? I've tried getting back into watching it but can't get past anything than the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, 90% of the wrestlers are just crap compared to what they used to be

I grew up watching the attitude era and also 2004-2007?

AKA, in my words "the Cena era" I enjoyed him until he started winning every match and loved it when Edge cashed in money of the bank at the end of the Elimination Chamber.

Was such a cheap shot but I found that so awesome.

I can't really remember when I lost interest, it must have been around the time of Benoits death.
