I've just finished watching The Birds tonight and it was quite chilling in places tbh, from other films such as Vertigo and Rear Window I wasn't expecting it to be even darker, but the fact there was no musical score and the squarking of the birds was quite harrowing.

I thought that it was definitely a good film and I'm glad that a director got his own way to end without having to put a happy hollywood spin on it but seriously the end, in its own right was a bit negative but oh the horror, lol. I read that at the premier he hid speakers in trees and played bird noises after the end, what a cruel guy!

Great film, well worth a watch, maybe not quite as good as Vertigo in my opinion but definitely up there. I can't believe they're remaking it though! :(

A great film from the master of suspense and I really wish they'd not remake any of his films, as they just won't work, as per the Psycho remake.
I wish they wouldn't either because they'd just ruin classics, the amount of suspense and the chilling feeling you get watching it isn't replacable.
