The bullet has been bitten [2nd 6950]

The actual flash only takes 12 steps all done in Windows. You miss out, steps 13 to 19 using a single card. Takes 2 minutes tops, this imo is a much simpler, quicker and easier process than creating boot discs, booting into dos, printing instructions etc. The extra steps are for crossfire and enabling higher clocks in ccc. If I was using the dos method, it would have taken me a lot longer to fix my issue.

Ok I'm back, is the best option to follow shaypers epic guide with Tommys adjustments? I only have the original card in its slot 2 placment as yet

I'll attempt to sort this then add the next card in the top position then unlock that

After all that is sorted ill use afterburner, i have used afterburner before but only with the 5850 but gave up as I couldn't get it to work at startup

Sounds good?

Al4x, to get afterburner running at startup, first you need to click the box at the bottom of the afterburner UI that says "apply overclocking on startup". Then go into settings (I think it's on the last page of the settings) and select load on startup. Job done ;)

I will do, I know a fair bit more than average its just such things as overclocking where I get lost, I guess cause of the chance of ruining the hardware

Thanks ill try this today when i get on the pc

Haha fair enough, I'm still very akward about trying watercooling.

Which is worrying as I'm meant to be building an entire setup for my mate, CPU, mobo and dual gpu's. Sometimes it sucks being the one who knows how computers work :) but at least I get 20 quid for it :)

ok
first card done, gpuz is reporting 810MHz and 1250MHz so thats the asus bios loaded with unlocked shaders..

now im going to plug in the second unflashed card in the top slot and do the same [using 0s not 1s?]

i suppose in stall afterburner too?
ok shut down and install time

btw ive got a lot of ghost drivers, not just for gpus,
for gpu i had 3 ghost 6900s and 2 5800 series lol

plaything has worked now, gpuz is reporting xfire is enabled with 2 gpus at 1536 shaders,

ive just run the crysis benchmark .. not one scrap of difference between 1x6950 gpu and 2x6950s gpu.

bad tool to use? but i would doubt it, this has me worried

EDT
one card is just not clocking up at all

EDT 2
But it is working in heaven benchmark

I don't think I have smart doctor installed, also the max clocks are 840 & 1350 same as ati over drive
One card is an xfx with the asus bios

Reason I ask is I'm trying to play metro on 2560 on highest settings, yet wit af and aaa its still not 100% playable

Didn't know you had to do this, didn't see it in any threads I came across

Off topic.. Why you selling your 6950 crossfire setup out of interest
