He's purchased some kind of stimulant, and rather than risk the chance of doing it all in one bender, he's taken some out and then posted the rest of it to himself second class so it would take a couple days.
 
actually in all the replies I have read so far there has not been a serious answer. It used to be common practise to post yourself a sealed envelope that was post dated so you could prove that you owned the copywright to said item. This is popular with some of them create your own will packs that you can buy. Perhaps he just wrote the wrong number on the address but I would be certain to ask him when I took the package around to give it back to him,
