In her defence she's much better a literatsy.

    My favourite response so far:

"I used to be good at numberacy until the Tories cut ejucashun funding."

To be fair, hilarious as it is, looks like a simple typo. :)

Just in case anyone didn't realise, Anne Milton is the Minister for Skills and Apprenticeships.

I attended a conference where she gave a speech a few weeks back, she appears much more literate in person.

So we basically have no true PM until this absolute train wreck of a party decide on one.

Indeed, it's hardly a smoking gun of incompetence.

How long does it take for Conservatives to run leadership voting, will they be held before May goes or will there be a X days/weeks delay before the new PM takes office?

It will be whittled down to one person very quickly then they will ask May to stay on.

If Boris gets to the final two in the leadership contest then yes, he will be PM because the general membership love him. But it's a monkey's paw wish, because half the Tory MPs absolutely despise him. He'll be PM, but he'll have even less power than May. I doubt he will be able to avoid calling a General Election within months, and if the polling is accurate he will become the first sitting Prime Minister to be unseated since 1906. Either way his career is finished and he'll be remembered as a useless embarrassment.

Does the process work by the MP’s choosing the two candidates and then the membership vote to choose which one of the two is party leader ?

The membership in recent years has become very right wing and pro no deal brexit.

At least people like Boris are just incompetent idiots, people like McVey (and a fair few others) would be an absolute nightmare.
