Axios has an excellent breakdown of the debate. Bottom line: everyone came prepared to ambush Biden, and he just swatted them away like mosquitoes.

    Highlights:

    * Booker overshadowed Harris as Biden's primary antagonist
    * Harris got mugged by Biden, Gabbard, and Bennet, who attacked her healthcare plan
    * Sanders and Warren successfully tag teamed everyone else, and emerged completely unscathed
    * Inslee and Yang reminded the punters that they both still exist, but failed to explain why anyone should care

    Biggest winners: Biden, Sanders, Warren.

I agree they were the standout candidates. But it says something about the Democratic party that all 3 of the front runners are over 70 years old.

Biden is 76, Sanders is 77, and Warren is 70.

If any of those 3 win the nomination then I think their choice of VP will be more important as its entirely possible if they become President they could die in office.

Trump is the current oldest President at 70 years old when he started his presidency. He's now 73.

In UK we've only had one 70 year old, Palmerston, as Prime Minister, and his reign only lasted 3 years before he resigned.

McCain’s military service involved a bit more than being a dental clerk in a very safe base. Still, as The Donald dodged the draft for Vietnam, he doesn’t get to **** off people who actually served; even if they were a pox doctor’s orderly Stateside.

Given that Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who are seen by many as indicative of the future of the Democratic Party, are both members of the Democratic Socialist of America I don't think you have seen anything yet given the antics at the recent convention the DSA held......

Its almost like the Democrats are trying to throw the race.... its not hard.... find a moderate candidate without too many skeletons and they would walk it.

You seem to be mistaken, Palmerston was elected at 70 years old, served 3 years, resigned, got back in again at 75 and only got removed after another 6 years as PM because he died.

Churchill and Gladstone both returned to the PM office from opposition at substantial ages of 76 and 82 years respectively.

A fair few more were PM and over 70.

I stand corrected. I was looking at a list and it must have meant their age when they first became PM.

Which other PM's were over 70? As the list I was looking at had Palmerston as the oldest.

Well imagine if these guys had to power and will to try and force an entire society to abide by their warped ideology.

I've noticed @StriderX has gone absent from the thread, would really be nice for him to at least once absolutely condem the idiocy of the far left.

Instead he makes rediculous platitudes trying to conflate my telling of the democratic debates as deranged and somehow gun violence.

    Beggars belief.

I'm trusting a publicly edited source but :p

Sort by age which lists them by their age when they left office. Except the ones that died in office which are left blank and you go by their death age.

One thing. The US media axis, especially NBC-MSNBC prefer anyone else from the "deep state" (Biden, Harris, Warren, even Sanders) than someone like Gabbard.
And over the last few weeks have been proven numerous times on that. Gabbard is too dangerous for the pockets of the rich and especially the military contractors, military manufacturing establishment, Israel and the religious bible bashers. As she is a practicing Hindu.
But not the military, as she has the biggest approval rating among veterans and current service personnel from both parties due to having served at the front lines, twice.

If you have watched some of the debates, beggars belief how someone might say that Biden, Sanders or Warren are "biggest" winners. The establishment wants them to be, hence the "news" about them.

Biden has bounced up to 32%. Harris has plummeted to 7%.

Your posts are like a window into a parallel dimension where every conspiracy theory is true and nothing is too stupid to be credible.

Jay Inslee is out of the 2020 presidential race.

Democrats have responded with 'Who?' and 'I didn't even know he was running.'

The only one of those people who will have enough votes to beat Trump in my opinion is Yang. But I doubt he's going to win the nomination. If the Dem's pick one of the old guard its going to be seen as a stitch up and I suspect whoever wins the nomination will get less than Clinton did last time.
