Aren't Norway, Switzerland , Yugoslavia and Israel members of CERN?

We don't deal directly with CERN, we deal with a number of organisations and suppliers in other countries (mostly France and Amsterdam) which end up with us winning these projects.

I would have voted for this. Becoming a us state.

Wouldn't that mean Leaving the EU first? For the record, I wouldn't want to become a US state. I don't see why we need to be a part of a larger entity - why can't we just be the UK?

So we shouldn't stay in the EU and we shouldn't Leave it either?

No, there was never a question at all to begin with.

We have stomped around and botched every interaction with the EU to the point where we have created the In or out question because of our own incompetence over the years.

For instance today we have two camps, now bear in mind this is what you are actually voting for this week:

One side who believes the EU can bring no good at all.
The other side which has allowed us to be put into this situation in the first place through their own incompetence (party wide, both major parties)

Its a lose lose.

One day both sides will realise that the EU isnt the problem, its us.

Sadiq Kahn just now on Sunday Politics was asked should there be an upper limit on migration: No.

And he is probably right........ Immigrants aren't the problem. Immigration policy is. Why would we limit the number if we need the people. This is why the idiots who cite Australia's points system leading to an increase in immigration are forgetting one thing. Yes because they need them. Policy over quantity.

These people need to be asked directly things like 'Would you be happy with 2 million randomly selected people from the middle-east and Africa appearing in London over 6 months'. Surely the mayor of London has some concern for housing and public services?

It's all well and good if he means we take as many skilled people we need - but to me that just reads that he would be happy with an open door policy.

I always wondered how many of Leavears would actually be happy to with UK becoming next US state. I'd guess vast majority of those that are shouting we get sovereignty back would happily vote for this.
