None of these panelists are very good. Its a rather unedifying spectacle. I'd never want to be a politician so I won't criticise overtly however I do feel that the quality and integrity of debate is severely lacking. I actually blame Blair for taking us down this "soundbite" path.
Is anyone keeping score on the amount of time "take back control" has been uttered?

It's been repeated a lot, and yes it is annoying, but it works. Repetition repetition repetition makes thoughts stick.

You're starting to sound rattled my Lincolnshire dwelling friend :D

Not at all about the result, it's been too close to call for a long time. And as I've said before, the outcome, apart from ideological reasons, isn't going to affect me much either way. So come the 24th we just congratulate the winner and get on with our lives, just as we did on the 23rd. :)

What I get rattled about are the absolute retards spouting ******** and being smug in their own little circle jerk. Not implying that's you McBain! You're one of the more mostly harmless members of the leave campaign ;)

They keep saying that Turkey won't join until 3000, but the EU Commission website says that they are on track for visa-free travel by late June.

In fairness those are two completely different things.

Visa free travel is the same as we have to the USA. It doesn't mean we can work and live there without applying for a full visa.

One of the things I was concerned about at the start of all of this was the prospect of Turkey joining the EU. Having looked into it further I'm confident we won't be seeing them even get close within decades, unless there's a significant political turnaround within Turkey.

£350m a week is our gross liability to the EU, it's a valid figure to use.

In the context of a discussion where you are claiming how much better off you would be by not paying it, no, it absolutely is not. Because it ignores the amount you are not paying, so to claim you gain that amount back is disingenuous to the fact. In this context, the net figure is the only sensible one to use.

So, more like it's cheaper. So you want more cheap labour. Vote in and get some Albanians or Turks and pay them even less. Ignore all the families who reside here that are UK based....

It's a case of I'm alright jack.

That's not what I'm saying, at all. I don't get a say on shop floor staffing. I'm control room. I keep the machines running and the hgv drivers driving.

In just stating a fact.If we had to pay the staff more, we would have to charge the client more, who would have to charge the ccustomers more.

That's how business works. Most want to make a profit now and again. Keeps investors happy and people in work.

yeah - that doesn't mean what you think

It means that a Turkish citizen can get a visa to travel to the UK at no cost, it doesn't mean that Turkey is in the EU, or that Turkish people can move here, it just means they save a few quid in the process of applying for a visa like they already can

It's exactly what I think it means. I didn't say that it was the same as joining.
