Michael Gove in saying whatever will further his personal position shocker. Nobody has time for facts or reports or studies when there's a gut feeling to go with.

Gove flat out said in the InOrOut "debate" that expert opinions don't matter.

And a few pages ago you rubished ons and other organisations for thier calculations about who was a net contributors in tax terms

No, I didn't. I said I didn't think it was a useful way at looking at people's contribution and that since adult immigrants are not educated at our expense the calculation would be different.

I am sure there will be delays at every corner if Britain votes out. There will be continual stories of why something can't be repealed yet. Eventually (and it will take years) we will reach a half way house where some parts of our current relationship will be removed and some will remain. That is as it should be because it will have been our democratically elected government that decides it.

However, I think all parties underestimate how strong some people's views of uncontrolled immigration are. Many on this forum won't like that fact. But if MP's negotiate a deal for trade which includes free movement then I suspect that government (whichever colour it may be) would get decimated for years in elections. Which, again, is as it should be and what many people voting Leave want; control of the country's direction through the ballot box.

A vote for Brexit is only the start of the process. The public has to then follow through on its wishes to control direction at election time.

Experts can be bought, blackmailed and coerced (especially if part of a relevant government group).

So yes, if even one has the possibility of being a stooge, its all worthless.

Is your response to any view by any expert that is contrary to your own that they must have been either bought, blackmailed or coerced?

No, the expert may very well have my view, doesnt mean its genuine, thats the point.

Come on Fox, we know experts can be bought and special interests doing the funding. This is common knowledge. Even reputed institutions like the LSoE have some dubious financiers.

It was a little like that report a while back on fizzy drinks or sugars in your diet. Coca cola funded in part the research.

Just a heads up for anyone who may be making plans for this evening; it's Farage vs Cameron exclusively live on ITV at 9pm. So don't go down to the pub and enjoy the warm weather - watch that instead.

Have to say I find it quite odd that Cameron is debating Farage when the latter isn't even part of the official Leave campaign. Wonder why that is...

I can't wait for Cameron to tell us his solution for 330,000 people coming here every year. I'm sure it'll be something to do with a strong economy though.

Well more than half of that 330k isn't even part of or related to this referendum but then people seem to ignore that..

I'm surprised too. Farage is generally not a politician I think Cameron should be trying to lock horns with.

Lets be honest Farage is the leader of the out zeitgeist, Cameron is going to be very much out of his depth here. I anticipate Camerons advisors will be telling him to try and rile him up to saying something about the audience. Something he is quite well known for and imo not wrong for doing.

Farage will have all the answers to Camerons bluster because he has 19yrs and 7months more knowledge and experience than him. We may see just how foolish the Remain camp are going to look tonight and even more so if the continue to want to stay after the slaughter.

I have a feeling Farage will have lots of mud thrown at him. I can still remember that snivelling worm Nick Clegg trying to make an audience believe he idolizes Vladimir Putin. Clegg was then in for a car crash because anyone who knows anything about Farage knows that he doesn't like Putin.

Remain camp it was nice knowing you :D

Boring thing is that it's only questions and "Mr Farage will take questions first, followed by Mr Cameron".
