So not actually a debate at all then...

Doesn't appear that way and thank goodness for Dave for that. He would be annihilated. Farage has just too much knowledge on this subject. You've only got to listen to the guy discussing matters.

I'll be emailing my MP the day after if there is a leave vote to tell her to make sure it happens as I'm sure she is pro-EU.

The Times is paywalled, so I can't read the whole article. Am I right in thinking this is based on the say-so of one Tory MP and doesn't, in fact, have the basis of even a single pro-EU MP saying they'll vote against.

It's nonsense. MPs will not vote against the outcome of the referendum; it would be electoral suicide. This is nothing more than a ploy to get the Leave side riled up.

Stop? No. Reduce? Possibly. It depends entirely on the approach taken afterwards I suppose.

Why will it reduce numbers.

This is a critical point, having the ability to do something does not mean that any government will then exercise that ability.

Right now, the number of non EU migrants could be reduced or stopped yet that isn't happening, why?

Call No.10 and ask? Are you seriously asking us to defend and explain Government migration policy?

Well you are suggesting that numbers could fall, I am showing you that that isn't happening right now and you can't explain why.

Like with many people who wan't to leave they can't back up their reason to leave.

Getting rid of free movement of people removes all excuses for not controlling migration better. In a post-Brexit world if a party leader promises to cut net migration to the tens of thousands, then at least they are promising to do something that is in their gift to achieve.

Good question, it's amazing how much the government have been let off the hook by not being required to answer this question.

Again, just becasue you could do something doesn't mean it will happen, a point many people are wilfully ignoring.

Being part of the EU does not affect their ability to do this at the moment. Yet voting to put them in a position of more power seems like a good idea?

Wether it stops, slows down people coming is not the point.
The point is we can deny entry or deport foreign criminals on or own criteria.
Non EU migrants cant claim benefits from day one such as housing benefit, tax credits, child benefit etc.

We can now.

What does being a member in of the EU have to do with non EU migrants?

Cameron is too much of a coward to take part in a proper debate. He ducked out of debating properly in the run-up to the general election too.

I see it slightly differently, I think Cameron played it very cool and did very well because of it. In the run up to the general election, there was a hell of a lot of trash talk, testosterone and a hell of a lot of very embarrassing shouting matches, that quite simply turned a large number of the electorate off altogether.

However for most of these debates and trash-talking contests - Cameron was absent from them, or would turn up solely for Q&A sessions but not debates. In doing so I think he avoided tarring himself with the same brush that the other leaders had done in all their live TV shouting matches.

It does, we have no way of controlling EU migration. Though it doesn't change the fact that they busted their targets just using the immigration we can control...

Bit how I feel whenever I see Jeremy Corbyn stand up at every PMQ session. Having to stand up with bullies jeering at you, making remarks and doing anything to denigrate him.
