The Event.

Who thinks they are not really aliens but time travellers?

Been thinking that for a while as they never mention the craft they crashed in. The escapees sometimes let slip stuff that sounds like future tense.

If it's time travelers or aliens i dont know how many series this show can run without showing us the Event itself, i can see people getting bored with a show writen around a singular secret.

I am quite enjoying the story line, definitely has a first season feel to it with a mapped out feel. I for one am hoping for a new season of this whether we get it is another thing no news about it on imdb.

well watched all 3 episodes so far , all good if theres nothing on tv or just bored , the first 2 were anoying with the 1 day ago , 2 weeks ago and 5 years ago rubbish , but the 3rd episode did not have as much of this so hopefully it will stay more with the present from now on?

With what happened in the last minute of the 3rd ep I got a Peter F Hamilton's Reality Dysfunction vibe.

I can see what ya mean, some sort of possesion maybe.... I'm liking it so far !

Yeah the events nice but I hope it draws to a conclusion after season 1 or 2 at most.....

Some shows definatly need to finish more earlier and I feel the event is one of them.

I like this show. It has it's flaws, but it's interesting. I'm much more interested in the political & alien side than that guy and girl running around. My favourite characters are Blake Sterling - the president's advisor, and Simon who had a great back-story in episode 6.

It will be mid to late season cancellation. It doesn't have decent arc, it doesn't know where it wants to go, it goes into WTF in first episode just to fall back on several episodes of running in circles. No likeable main characters, no interesting evil characters, inconsistent story line, time line jumps are hectic and mostly pointless, no addon plots other than vague leads and stretches, written like a summer mini series and casted from B shuffle of West Wing and 24 body doubles. Nah, gonna delete from PVR list.

Well I couldn't disagree more, the story line is moving forward and at a nice pace, the flash backs all give background informatioinformation and have calmed down a lot. I think it's a brilliant series.
Agree that it should wrap up after 2 seasons though, possibly one.

Looked like it could go somewhere after 4 episodes but then never did, I'm surprised I gave it till episode 10 actually. I can definitely see this getting cancelled soon.

I wanted to give it a chance but its starting to really annoy me know. Will be canned soon enough anyway.

First 2 episodes were really good but it became really boring really fast and I switched off with a really heavy fist!

I am already sick of the sight of the bloke and his girlfriend on the run. Kind of like how I felt about Jack on Lost, its mostly whining and moaning. I just want them to be killed asap. The rest of it is okay at the moment but I can see a Heroes style rapid decline happening if they start to stretch story out any more than they are doing already.

Zeljko Ivanek is a big reason I'm still interested. I love watching this guy.

A negative for me is the silly 'film logic'. Just little things like when people were escaping from a collapsing building, and the huge rocks were actually hitting them full on but having no effect, making it laughable how obvious those rocks were just light-weight, cheap material. It made the whole seen lose all emotional impact and just look downright silly.
